Home Staging Statistics 2025

THE DATA CONTINUES TO SUPPORT PRESENTATION

The newest National Association of REALTORS® Profile of Home Staging confirms what real estate professionals see every day: presentation influences buyer behavior.

According to the 2025 report:

• 83% of buyers' agents said staging makes it easier for buyers to envision a property as their future home.

• 31% reported buyers were more willing to walk through a home they first viewed online when it was staged.

• 29% of agents reported staged homes received offers that were 1% to 10% higher than comparable unstaged properties.

The report also identified the living room, primary bedroom, and kitchen as the most important spaces to stage.

What's particularly interesting is that staging's greatest impact now occurs before the showing. Buyers discover properties online, compare them against dozens of competing listings, and decide within moments whether a home deserves further attention.

In this environment, staging is no longer simply about decorating a home. It is about marketing performance.

The goal remains the same as it was years ago: help buyers emotionally connect with a property and visualize themselves living there. The tools may have changed, but the importance of presentation has never been greater.
