Home Staging Statistics 2024

BUYER EXPECTATIONS HAVE CHANGED

Today's buyers have access to more listings, more information, and more choices than ever before. As a result, expectations have increased.

Recent National Association of REALTORS® research continues to show that more than 80% of buyers' agents believe staging helps buyers visualize a property as their future home.

What has changed is how quickly buyers make decisions.

Most buyers begin their search online and spend only seconds deciding whether to continue exploring a listing. Professional photography, video tours, and staging now work together to create that crucial first impression. The homes generating the most engagement are not always the largest or most expensive. They are often the homes that communicate lifestyle, functionality, and value most effectively.

For sellers, staging remains one of the most cost-effective ways to improve marketability. It helps highlight a home's strengths, minimizes distractions, and allows buyers to focus on the property itself rather than the owner's belongings.

As competition for online attention continues to grow, staging has become an essential part of modern real estate marketing.
