WHY FIRST IMPRESSIONS STILL DRIVE BUYER DECISIONS
The National Association of REALTORS® continues to report what many real estate professionals have known for years: buyers make emotional decisions before they make financial ones.
According to NAR's latest Home Staging research, 77% of buyers' agents reported that staging made it easier for buyers to visualize a property as their future home. Additionally, approximately 40% of buyers were more likely to visit a property after viewing staged photos online.
In an increasingly competitive online marketplace, staging has become more than decorating. It has become a marketing tool. The survey also revealed that living rooms and primary bedrooms remain the most important rooms to stage, while guest bedrooms and children's rooms have significantly less influence on buyer perception.
For sellers, the benefits go beyond appearance. Agents continue to report faster sales, stronger offers, and increased buyer engagement when properties are professionally prepared before entering the market.
As more buyers begin their home search online, the quality of a property's presentation is becoming just as important as its location and price.
The message is clear: staging is no longer optional for sellers who want to maximize buyer interest and create a strong first impression.
